My recent acquisitions (sorry I do not have the capability to take images now--perhaps I can send the seller's images to Andre and he can post for me) :)

A) Kaiyodo Capsule Q Japanese Animals Series 4: Shikoku:
1) blister beetle, Cissites cephalotes (Animatales 281)
2) freshwater shrimp, Macrobrachium formosense (Animatales 280)

Comments: these are classic Animatales style, with multiple pieces (the shrimp was 10 pieces). They have Animatales numbering, which makes me think they are continuation of the classic Kaiyodo Choco Q lines.

B) Kaiyodo-Okinawa Figure Collection:
1) coconut crab, Birgus latro (Figure sits atop a coconut!)

C) Kitan Club Barnacles set (partial):
1) Chelonibia testudinaria (a commensal on sea turtles)
2) Megabalanus rosa
3) Balanus rostratus (this looks like one part of three figures that interlock for a barnacle cluster)
4) Scalpellus stearnsii (this figure is attached to a host snail shell)
5) Conchoderma virgatum
6) Tetraclita japonica

Notes: Figures 1-3, 6 have safety pins attached, so they can be worn as jewelry. Figures 4 and 5 are 'strap figures'. They are good sized, the C. testudinaria is 60 mm across its longest points.  This set is definitely is definitely a 'Holy Grail' set. Looks like I am missing three species, plus the other Figures that interlock with B. rostratus.

P.S...still waiting for my Lord Howe Island stick insect; America can have long customs delays sometimes...  :-\

The beautiful Gaur Bull by Mojo :) and some of his prehistoric travel compnaions ;)
You can see more of the Gaur in the Mojo thread

Congrats, Blaine (and of course to all others for their new acquisitions, too), and I'd love to see them (although I always favour photos made by members, especially since I know yours from the times of insectasynthetica). :) When I first saw the Kitan Club Barnacle set about one and a half or two years ago it was offered as a preorder on Jauce and they were mostly sets containing, what was it, like 48 figures so there would have been lots of doubles. Since that was too expensive for me I even thought about sharing one set with a colleague from our university but in the end we were too hesitant. I really regret not having bought them back then, though. :'( and I still keep my fingers crossed for the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect! :)

Two pachycephalosaurs.  :)

a small tan one with red eyes, and a large red one with a black back.

Yay! :) Which brand are they?

And since Blaine sent me the photos of some of his new arthropod figures, I'll post them here. So these would be photos made by the seller if I understood correctly.

Wow, is this the first species of Meloidae in figure form? :o Why hasn't nobody made a Spanish Fly, yet? ;D

Thanks for posting these!

Actually I have two other blister beetles; one was a 'chinabug' from a bubblegum machine (wingless, prob modeled after Meloe) and one that looks like it has Play Visions-influence.

But this is the first one formally modeled after a real species.

It's a neat figure too, when you assemble it, you place the elytra over the rest of the body; the Figure has the folded flying wings depicted underneath!

Their generic, but they are pretty high quality.

Where do you get these from? It seems to be taking far too long for the last of the 2013 Mojo line to show up in North America

brontodocus

Thanks, all! :)

Hehe, yes, sort of... these may be the last figures I bought in 2013.

I got them from a German shop, spielzeug-guenstig.de, the prehistoric figures are here, and I bought them right away as soon as they were in stock. Quite reasonable prices, too. :)
