Really? I've shown them and mentioned them several times in the forum and they are featured in many of my blog and daily 'Museum' posts  :o  :P  8)

I've noticed backgrounds in your pictures but didn't know what they were called or where you could get them. If they were mentioned then I guess I either didn't read the particular post where they were or didn't commit it to memory.  :P I think I always assumed your backgrounds were cardboard.

probably the latter. I know I can't keep up with everything LOL

After @Fembrogon showed his Diormansion 200 I decided to see if they updated any more of their old styles into the larger 200 versions. And they did! I upgraded my undersea, winter forest, and lily pond dioramas. I also pre-ordered an African savanna one!

How did you get the two new Eofauna?
I pre-ordered mine in October and have seen neither hide nor hair!

SerAndrew

Just received the new Eofaunas, will post pictures by the end of the week.
With this I only have two figures left in my 2025 wishlist  :'(
Sad year for me!

There may be a couple more, since I have some in the "maybe" side but...

I pre-ordered the Colombian mammoth from BigBadToyStore. Was supposed to arrive to them in February but who knows when. I normally don't pre-order things but all the available figures from outside the US were super expensive.

SerAndrew

Being a spanish brand it arrived earlier here to a specific spanish shop that takes the effort to get the new things soon.
But they also expected them to arrive earlier

Long time since I last participated in this thread, as my collection is basically stopped now, but some time ago I received my 340th figure: the Indian flying fox (Pteropus giganteus) from Eikoh miniature planet, coming thanks to the Sim's sales thread. It was a figure in my wishlist, and it's my second bat after a Safari's good luck minis bat that I've customized as a pied bat (Niumbaha superba). Here is released in the wild:

Nice photo, I'm impressed you got it to hang on that branch!

I've received the Mojo sand tiger shark.

Pros:
1. It's big
2. The teeth are individually sculpted, and there are multiple rows of teeth!  Very impressive!

Cons:
1. The spots on it are raised!  And almost the same colour as the rest of the dorsal surface.
2. The paintjob isn't great.

I won't be keeping it, the raised spots are a dealbreaker.  It would be interesting if Mojo repainted it with a more accurate paintjob.  For now though, I've reconsidered the Safari sand tiger shark and I think I will give it a go!

the Safari Ltd one is one of the best Sand tigers out there.
it has a nice sculpt and paint job
only draw back is the fact that the inside of the mouth isn't sculpted :(

Sim

That's good to know, thanks.  I too have come to the conclusion that its only drawback is the one you specified.  But I think I might be okay with it, I'll have to have one to see!

JimoAi

Received the 2025 Mojo Great white and I have to say I'm disappointed in itm A mini review to save your time:

pros:

grey is nice and jagged

gill slits are nice and tall with the correct number

Second dorsal and Anal fins are correctly shaped and sized.

lateral line sculpted

cons:

Upper teeth are too exposed. White sharks usually have their upper teeth hidden unless their mouths are wide open, which usually also involves their noses being more pointed. However, in this new Mojo figure, it seems to be a weird sculpt with the teeth already being fully exposed without the jaws being too wide open.

The teeth, especially on the bottom jaw are too chunky and some are weirdly shaped. Additionally, there should be more than 1 row of teeth on the bottom jaw.

The nose is too wrinkly. Wrinkles are only shown when the jaws are fully opened and stretched out and they look weird here. There's also exsessive wrinkling on the side of the jaws.

The fins are too triangular especially the Dorsal, pectoral and pelvic fins. The pelvic fins is the worst offender, being too tall when it should be a shorter triangle and there's a weird extension that looks too small to be claspers.

The white should continue until the bottom caudal fin while the figure only has the white until the pelvic fins.

the gums aren't painted, making the jaw look incomplete

the blacktips on the pectoral find are missing

there's not enough bulk at the tail base. Frustratingly, there's no caudal keel

Overall, this figure isn't bad but it's left me so disappointed with the number of avoidable flaws it has, making it nothing more than a generic shark toy. Safe to say I won't be retaining this figure and am waiting for the upcoming Schleich megalodon as a stand in. Schleich's great white is still the best sculpted representative of the species

Sorry to hear that you were let down by the Mojo white shark @JimoAi, I know you were looking forward to getting it.  :-\

That's true and that it's wasted money at this point. I'ld rather customise a Papo Megalodon at this point

Thanks to some timely arrivals at MiniZoo, recently received my first order in a while.

From CollectA, the Short faced bear, Ingentia, Placerias (finally), and Jaekelopterus.

From Papo, the clouded leopard, caiman, and mole.

From Mojo, the coelacanth because why not?

From Safari the Arctic wolf, because I don't really have much for wolves and @Saarlooswolfhound and @bmathison1972 seem to like it. I think...

And my first Toymany figures! Black caiman, sawshark, jaguar, lemming, and antelope jackrabbit. Plus the Norwegian forest cat. I don't normally purchase 'pet' or 'domestic' figures, but one of my cat looks just like it! @Kenc now that I actually have some of the figures, they are truly fantastic!

Saarlooswolfhound

To quote a favorite movie- You chose wisely! For the wolf!!! That is still the best wolf on the market and I'm.not sure it'll ever be topped.

Wonderful new models, congratulations! Especially on finally getting the clouded leopard. What do you think of the short faced bear?
