Edit: may convert the fairy penguin into an Adelie. It's a nice figure just a bit large for my liking for such a tiny species.
And the Echinda is for sale if anyone wants it and is the USA.

Got another one coming in tomorrow which I am sorta excited for. Will update then...

Have gotten several new additions in the last few days, with a few more on the way.

Woolly mammoth by TNG, red-eyed treefrog by Play Visions (actually from childhood collection, but was found recently), Chinhai spiny newt by Yowie, Green vine snake by Yowie, and Brown Sea Cucumber by Yowie. The sea cucumber was kind of an accident, I bought one of the eggs hoping to pull a Southern Bentwing bat. I ended up finding one on eBay, but now I have a sea cucumber  :P

Next are a couple of unpainted models of Homotherium and Pleistocene Equus sculpted by Mike Eischen. These were actually made with a silicon mold and cast resin. I will designate the Homotherium as H. serum and Equus scotti for my collection. At some point I plan to commission them to someone to be painted, since I don't have that kind of skill  :P Please pardon my cluttered desk, there is dog hair because I have dogs  ;D

The upper canines are exposed on this Homotherium, though I am a firm believer that they were concealed, as in the clouded leopard.

Could somewhat be in scale next to Mammuthus primigenius if you wanted to designate them as H. latidens and Equus ferus ferus.

Kaiyodo Box Jellyfish.

I like it more than I thought. Will remove the keychain bit.
Speaking of which, I know it's not a jellyfish, but I'd like to one day obtain a Portuguese-Man-o-War

There's three figures of the Portuguese-man-o-war that I know of; one by Takara TOMY Arts, one by Kitan Club/Nature Technicolor and one by K&M.  Have the first two, been keeping an eye out for that last one which is nearly impossible to find.  Anyway, those are your options that I know of, I think the Takara and Kitan ones at least show up on eBay now and then.

I have that whole set, and interestingly, the box jellyfish is the only one I left attached to the strap. just make it easier to display!

Animal Toy Wiki only has 2 of those 3 recorded in their files.

ATW is rarely accurate when it comes to Japanese models. There's tons of figures on my shelves that aren't included. I've mentioned it before but it may be affected by the specialist knowledge of the editors of the site.

Well if I'm able to dig out my Takara man-o-war at some point the wiki is free to use any images I post

Some goodies today.

First, several reptiles:
Recent Bandai Diversity small ball python and girdled armadillo lizard.
Also, the recent J. Dream fat-tailed gecko. It's stylized and 'squishy' but other figures of this species are too big for me. I would replace this if a smaller version came along
Lastly, the Ikimon adult and juvenile Japanese skinks (Plestiodon japonicus). I recently reviewed the Yujin Japanese skinks on my daily Museum thread which turned out to be a different species (P. latiscutatus), so I pursued these Ikimon lizards to have both species!

Next the Joy City pygmy hog and the recent Takara tardigrade. As you can see the tardigrade is in many pieces! I may not get around to assembling it until the weekend.

oh wow it's basically one of those "4d" puzzles

my latest haul:

Firstly, figures I've gotten at my local Bandai store: the entire sharks set with duplicates not shown here, tried the salamander gacha and got home with 3 Giant salamanders and one axolotl. The giant salamander reminds me of Koolasuchus in the body proportions. A small Japan haul in the Kaiyodo Swell shark egg and a Kaiyodo clownfish. Lastly, my third Papo blue whale which I've tried to just sprinkle grey mottled pattering as I am terrible at repainting the entire figure

@JimoAi - your images aren't coming through (if you posted them)

It looks like something is off in the HTML tags

OK, the aforementioned tardigrade is assembled. I included the paper in the pic so you know what you are in for (19 pieces). It was really frustrating until I realized what I was going wrong LOL. There are pieces that connect the body segments that have numbers written on them (2, 4, 6). Make sure the numbers are pointing anteriorly to the direction of the animal (towards the animal's head).

The final product is articulated.

There is a 20th piece that connects to one of the halves of the gashapon capsule that forms a base for the animal to sit loosely on.

Oh well, here we are. It replaces a Shapeways figure I have of this species in my collection.

@JimoAi the blue whale looks nice. May do that to mine.
