@Cachalot - I tried to use upload your imgur pic but could not.

Have you thought about Postimages? That's what I have used for years. it's fast, easy, free, and is rarely down. After you post an image on Postimages, select the 'image for forum' option and it will automatically copy the link. Simply paste the link in your forum post and it will show up.

The imgur picture will work, you just need to link to the image file, not the page that the image file is on. In this case the image file is "https://i.imgur.com/MkM0tsC.jpeg"

Put that in the forum bbcode and:

Did something I haven't done in quite a while, and that's go to one of my favorite eBay dealers in Japan to hunt down missing species. I got the following:

1. Yujin yellowfin goby, Acanthogobius flavimanus
2. SO-TA 1:1 waxy monkey leaf frog, Phyllomedusa sauvagii
3. Kaiyodo Enoshima Aquarium Japanese grenadier, Coelorinchus japonicus
4. Kaiyodo Choco Q Hallowell's tree frog, Hyla hallowellii
5. Kaiyodo Enoshima Aquarium shuttles mudskipper, Periophthalmus modestus

Ikessauro

Today was a quite happy day, got a good haul of new items. First, a few new snakes for the collection, including the rare Red Tail Boa from Safari. Also PNSO Sinraptor, a few CollectA's which are always really nice and a Mattel Spino. In the back a few baby dinosaurs from Brazilian brand Pupee, lisenced Jurassic World figures.

And to make my day, a huge lot of Tubbz items from Numskull Designs, which they were kind enough to send me at no cost to promote their items in my channel. I must say the Tubbz are a really clever product design, love them so much.

bmathison1972

Wow. @Ikessauro I didn't realize Safari made so many large reptiles!

Got a repainted papo raptor and a nendoroid Fuuka Miyazawa with what I believe is the tiniest African penguin figure I've seen

Gwangi

I got a nice haul of CollectA figures at the county fair. Most of the tent was boots, hats, and other cowboy gear but I noticed that they had Breyer horses so decided to take a closer look. The horses didn't interest me much but I was happy to find some other animals. Finding CollectA in the wild in the U.S. is always a special treat.

A few of my recent-ish aqua-sitions (I wonder how many times that joke has inevitably been made here?) for the anglerfish clan...

I believe that pun is actually new! Nice one! LOL

BlueKrono

Nifty! What is that blue one?
I like turtles.

NSD Bashe

@bmathison1972  Thanks, good to know lol

@BlueKrono  I believe it is from the Diramix line "The Epic Animals: Antichi Abissi".  This particular set is a bit difficult to find in general, and you pretty much wait for them to randomly show up on eBay.  There might be a couple others from this set I'm keeping my eyes out for, including a greenish yellow viperfish (or as it's labeled pesce vipera -- occasionally it can help to know alternate names for them  ;)  )

NSD Bashe

Ah correction; I think this may be from the set Mega Abissi..  it's a little difficult to specify sometimes, there doesn't seem to be much info about these lines or the distinctions between them

After very long pause, I acquired two more figures for my collection. I was visiting the Luxembourg natural history museum and saw these two, I took it as a chance for getting these species. Both are Bullyland. This brand is still strong in France and Luxembourg, I saw two shops selling various Bully's.

P1450228.jpg

First one is the African elephant, Loxodonta africana. The finish and sculpt is not as perfect as another models, but what made me buy it is the size. It's much bigger than the usual Schleich or CollectA elephants.

P1450230.jpg
P1450232.jpg
P1450234.jpg

Sizewise it fits perfectly with some other African savannah giants such as giraffes and rhinos. The visualization of the elephant near my CollectA giraffe is what decided me to buy it.

P1450235.jpg

But with any animal figure that is not from a giant species, quickly the elephant looks like still too small...

P1450236.jpg

And second one is the western roe deer, Capreolus capreolus. Again, a not very sharp finish in the fur texture, thick legs, etc. But a passable model from a species always interesting and not so very often made.

Capreolus 1.jpg
Capreolus2.jpg

I compared mentally the size with some of my gazelles and antelopes and tought it's adequate. However, when compared with other European deer figures, the Bully's roe deer is strickingly too big.

Capreolus3.jpg

But is of perfect size when compared with smaller species of European forest animals!

New arrivals from Safari Ltd!

These are all neat. The salmon shark and the Albertosaurus are definite favorites; Zuul comes in a very close second only because of some quirks in the paint apps. The crested gecko and S. American toob are treats as well (admittedly I got the toob mainly for the harpy eagle), and I added in some more theropods to fill out the order.
