Hello friends, this is the figure of Boa Constrictor (Boa constrictor) Linnaeus, 1758 of Schleich - Wild Life. Total lenght is 140mm. This figure have been relased in 2015 and it is available. Boa constrictors will generally live on their own, and not interact with any other snakes unless they want to mate. They are nocturnal; however, they may bask during the day when night-time temperatures are too low. As semi-arboreal snakes, young boa constrictor individuals may climb into trees and shrubs to forage; however, they become mostly terrestrial as they become older and heavier.

Schleich are one of the oldest brands that they do figures currently. They have done new figures of some old replicas even their cubs, calfs and juveniles. This replica is one of their new figures. This figure is a very nice replica. The proportions of this figure are nice from my point of view. I think that the colours could be better. The stand of this figure is nice. I think that it is a good replica of this specie. I bought this figure yesterday  ^-^.

I can't help it but I can't get over the fact that the dark spots are depressions in the sculpt. It almost looks as if the figure was partially flayed. I guess it was done to make the paint application during production easier but I think they should have found a different way...  :-\

I agree, this is a nice figure except for the weird depressions. They kind of ruin it - it almost looks like someone's gone at the snake with a scalpel.
