Hello friends, this is the figure of Platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) Shaw, 1799. Total lenght 90 mm.The body and the broad, flat tail of the platypus are covered with dense, brown fur that traps a layer of insulating air to keep the animal warm. The fur is waterproof, and the texture is akin to that of a mole. While both male and female platypuses are born with ankle spurs, only the male's spurs produce venom, composed largely of defensin-like proteins (DLPs), three of which are unique to the platypus.

Some times we can find beautiful replicas of animals of uknown brands or makers. This is one of these. Sculpt, colors and details are beautiful. I Think that it is beautiful replica of this specie. I bouhgt this figure  in a flea market two weeks ago  ^-^.

Ooh I have this figure somewhere. I got it when I was 3 years old from a Chinese site selling animals in bulk.  :)

Probably from a animal bulk bag you need a lot of research to what chinese company does this platypus.

I recently got this figure in lot on eBay (bought it for the Safari pronghorn and Chap Mei lion-tailed macaque). I wondered if it was an AAA knock-off; it has that 'AAA' look to it. The lot had a sloth, koala, and Malayan tapir that appeared to be from the same company.

Is there an AAA platypus? If so, we could do a 'compare and contrast'.

İts probably not a AAA knock-off AAA one is swimming and the flippers are too small.
