Hello friends, this is the figure of Indo-Pacific Sailfish (Istiophorus platypterus) Shaw, 1792.Total lenght is 200 mm. They have a large and sharp bill, which they use for hunting. They feed on tuna and mackerel, some of the fastest fish in the Ocean. They are able to prey on the faster fish in the sea because their top speed has been clocked at 109 km/h (68 mph), making them one of the fastest fish in the ocean.

Some times we can find beautiful replicas of animals of uknown brands or makers. This is one of these. Sculpt, colors and details are beautiful. I Think that it is beautiful replica of this specie. I bouhgt this figure  in a flea market two weeks ago  ^-^.

So this is a bit of a mystery figure then. Well, a nice find for sure. While the paint work is a bit strange since the sailfish does not show the slightest trace of blue it is quite detailed, nonetheless. Seems they also gave it the two small lateral keels on the caudal peduncle, a detail which is often ignored. :)
