Hello friends, these are the figures of African Elephant family (Loxodonta africana) Blumenbach, 1797 of Schleich-Wild Life. Total lenght is 150mm on adults and 70mm on calf. These figures were realised in 2004 and they are retired. The most characteristic features of African elephants are their very large ears, which they use to radiate excess heat, and their trunk, an extension of the upper lip and nose with two opposing extensions at its end, different from the Asian elephant, which only has one. The trunk is used for communication and handling objects and food. African elephants also have bigger tusks, large modified incisors that grow throughout an elephant's lifetime. They occur in both males and females and are used in fights and for marking, feeding, and digging.

Schleich are one of the oldest brands that they do figures currently. They have done new figures of some old replicas even their cubs, calfs and juveniles. This replica is one of their old figures. This figure is a very nice replica. The proportions of this figure are nice from my point of view. I think that. Details of hair are really good. The stand of this figure is nice. I bought these figure in a flea market two weeks ago ^-^.

Very classic Schleich elephants, I'm surprised we didn't already have a walk-around of these. :)
