Hello friends, this is the figure of Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) Vandelli, 1761 of Happy Kin Toys - Sea Life. Total lenght is 170 mm. Leatherback Turtles is a species with a cosmopolitan global range. Of all the extant sea turtle species, D. coriacea has the widest distribution, reaching as far north as Alaska and Norway and as far south as Cape Agulhas in Africa and the southernmost tip of New Zealand. Leatherback turtles can be found primarily in the open ocean. Scientists tracked a leatherback turtle that swam from Indonesia to the U.S. in an epic 20,000 km (12,000 mi) foraging journey over a period of 647 days.

Happy Kin Toys is a toy brand that it is specialize in toy animal playsets. It has prodiced some figures of anmals and dinosaurs with a really nice quality. This is one of the best examples of this. Sculpt and details are really awesome but the colors are wrong. I Think that it is one of the best replica of this specie. I bouhgt this figure the last monday in a great store  ^-^.

Yes, the leatherback turtles arent supposed to have those white box markings that other sea turtles have, but rather they have a few white stripes and spots  on the shell.

Hehe, it seems that while the sculpt isn't bad someone who was responsible for the colour pattern decided to give typical sea turtle scutes to the carapace without knowing that these are reduced in Leatherback Turtles! ;D Other than that the figure's quite nice.
