Hello friends, these are the figures of Mallard Duck male (Anas platyrhynchos) Linnaeus, 1758 of Schleich - Farm Life. Total lenght is 50 mm. This figure was relased in 2009 and it is retired currently. The Mallard is widely distributed across the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, North America from southern and central Alaska to Mexico, the Hawaiian Islands, and across Eurasia, from Iceland and southern Greenland and parts of Morocco (North Africa) in the west, Scandinavia to the north, and to Siberia, Japan, and China in the east, Australia and New Zealand in the Southern hemisphere. It is strongly migratory in the northern parts of its breeding range, and winters farther south. For example, in North America, it winters south to Mexico, but also regularly strays into Central America and the Caribbean between September and May.

Schleich are one of the oldest brands that they do figures currently. They have done new figures of some old replicas even their cubs, calfs and juveniles. This replica is one of their old figures. This figure is a very nice replica. The proportions of this figure are nice from my point of view. I think that the details of feathers are really good. The stand of these figure is nice. I think that it are one of the best replicas of this specie. I bought this figure in a store of Madrid (Spain) one month ago ^-^.
