Hilarious CollectA Bootlegs

With CollectA known for producing such high-quality animal replicas, such as their sea lion, which I recently ordered from Happy Hen Toys for a diorama, there is of course going to be bootlegs. Today I found a rather hilarious bootleg of the CollectA sea lion on Amazon, which takes a beautiful scientific replica and dumbs it down into a rubber bath toy.

I find it funny that you refer enlarged toys as "dumbed down" when ultimately all of what we collect are just toys (Western world anyways). A kid is probably more interested in a large whale toy than a small one anyway

I got it last year, along with the harbor seal and tiger shark. As leopard seals are my favorite mammal, I enjoy it immensely.

I think some of my favorite bootleg hijinks are when they name the animal completely wrong like dinosaurs labelled "toy duck" or that kind of thing

I think my very favorite CollectA  bootleg was a chimaera someone put together. I saw it often for a while there about a year or so ago but come to think of it I haven't seen it in a while. It was their markhor figure but had their caribou antlers attached instead of its spiral horns. And even better, it was usually called an "antelope" instead of a deer or goat or a made up name. Just a weird item all around!

Or how about this variation of the CollectA anglerfish but with somewhat inverted colors and a bent down lure as if trying to disguise its identity...
