Memories of old gift shop and thrift shop finds

Revisited an old favorite museum the other day, and sadly the gift shop was closed but it got me remembering past visits...  Like one time when I found two dinosaurs from a 6-dino box set I was often hoping to come across, painted alternate "museum gift-shop colors" I never saw anywhere else.  They were the Oley Boley brachiosaur, painted a stately dull green (similar to the reply bar on this site) and cream yellow on the stomach; and Oley Boley stegasaur, painted light peach on the stomach and black on its back with little yellow and red dots.  Something about the paint job felt... museum-y, for lack of a better description.  I still vividly remember not only the colors of the figures but happily walking home with them in a paper bag (my dad and I used to walk to the museum, which was a decent bit of exercise, nearly every weekend back in the day)

Does anyone have any particularly fond memories of museum gift shop/dollar store/thrift store/etc finds they still remember vividly or got excited about?
