- This calls for a triple celebration because it's the first time the mother, named Diana has given birth, it is the first time in seven years that the critically endangered species has been born there and because they were born just in time for Global Tiger Day on July 29th. The birth of these two cubs will help raise awareness and encourage support for tigers.

- The two adorable cubs are male and female each.

- According to the WWF, there are only 400 to 600 Sumatran Tigers left on Earth. They are now extinct in Java and Bali and only present in Sumatra.

-This subspecies of tiger's population has plummeted due to poaching and land development.

- Through conservation efforts as seen here, not using products made with non-sustainable palm oil and by not purchasing items made from endangered wildlife, this subspecies of tiger can be saved.
