Papo Impala Repaint(?)

I got my Papo Impala today. And overall I like the figure. But there are some notable black markings around the eyes and snout.

I've only seen one example of an Impala with these markings and I wonder why? (Photo presented below of what most Impalas typically look like; no black nose/eye markings)

Black-faced impalas are the subspecies Aepyceros melampus petersi.
Nominate subspecies, Aepyceros melampus melampus, lack these black facial marks.

I see, I was unaware of a subspecies of Impala. Upon further research not only does A. m. petersi have more black facial markings, but is also notably larger and darker coated than the regular Impala. So I believe I'll just be keeping this figure as-is.
