they are still variable in size as if they are all showing at the original size. Maybe it's a cache thing; I'll have to see next time I shut down and bring up my browser

Yeah, images will only show at the original size or smaller. They don't resize larger, so to speak. So, if someone includes four different sized images in a post, 500px, 1000px, 1500px, 2000px wide respectively, they will appear on different screens as follows (with a max image setting of 1500px)

On a narrow screen (<500px) all the images will be shrunk to fit and appear same size.
On a medium screen (say 1300px) the 500px and 1000px images will both be their original widths (with gaps on the right), but the 1500px and 2000px images will be resized down to fit the screen.
On a large screen, say 3000px, all the images will be their original widths, except for the 2000px image, which will be shrunk to 1500px by the max image size setting.

Is the search function here working for everyone? Over on the DTF some members are having problems.

No, the 'this topic' option is not working for me.

Ok, what browser do you use?

"this topic" is also the one part of the search function that does not work for me, except for one time when it brought up 2 pages of results, the first page worked but the second page did not; so I wonder if it automatically ignores one page for some reason
also I use Firefox

Thanks! I'm struggling to get to the bottom of this!

Two things:

1. I recently subscribed to two topics to receive email alerts for them; however, I am not getting the notifications (I am also not getting notifications when someone '@' me)

2. did you ever find a solution to searching within a topic? It still doesn't work for me. No rush, just curious of its progress

thanks

1. You can check your notification settings in your profile here, looks like you need to check a few 'email notification' options:

2. Still working on it, but not too hopeful of finding a fix.

Thanks, I think I did the right thing. I only follow two: 1) New ATB entries and 2) ATB review schedule, as my duties as the Blog editor.

Just just returned after a bit of an absence.  The upgrade is very attractive looking with the avatars all the same size.  It also loads quickly on my device.
