Looking For: Safari ltd Malayan Tapir

Hiya! Does anyone know where I can get a Safari ltd Malayan Tapir? Or if anyone is willing to part with their copy?

In 2019 I wrote this, in the thread about our biggest regrets in another animal toy collecting forum:

"My biggest regret is to not buying the Safari LTD Malayan tapir in a German online animal figurine shop.
I delayed and delayed the buying of it waiting for the next big bunch of figures for buying for Christmas or my birthday.
But when the date arrived, the tapir was retired from the website, and forever. I wrote them, but they replied that this will not be available again. And none online shop offers it yet. From time to time I find some forum member selling it, but for prohivitibe shipping costs since they came from USA (where the brand is located)

If I had bought it earlier, I would had it for cheap in my collection. Safari LTD Malayan Tapir is in my opinion the best malayan tapir, tough Papo's one is not bad (tough also impossible to get nowadays).".

I even bought Mojo's lowland tapir just because I would imagined the Safari's malayan next to it. If I knew I would get no Malayan I probably would skipped the lowland one.

In March 2020, a member of both forums went interested on my available figures. By this time all the forum members knew how badly I wanted the holy grail of the impossible-to-get Safari Malayan tapir. I mentioned it to this member and he said me that he don't have and he also want it. In April 25th 2020 said member offered me a Malayan tapir in exchange for my figures. I gave him my adress and asked him for his adress. He never gave me the adress despite various insisting messages along months. He said in october he would receive the tapir. In january 2021 he was still waiting to the tapir arriving to him for send after to me. In february, another member showed me a link to a website that, miraculously, have the Malayan tapir of Safari for sale!!!! Latter, however, he demonstrated me that this website is problematic with purchases. Anyway I replied him that I'm waiting the tapir from the first member so I would not buy it in that website. In June, I asked said member about the tapir, he replied that he's taking good care of it. In July I reminded him again, he replied that the tapir is still in his hands, that maybe he can bring the figure with himself if we do a zoo visit together. I replied that if it's easier for him to do that than to use postal system, I can wait. Some days ago Schleich released a new Malayan tapir for 2021 and altough not as perfect as the Safari one, is not as bad as the previous Schleich one (and not a disnguised Malayan-coated Baird's like the CollectA one!), so I said this member that, being tired of an almost two years waiting, if I see the Schleich for sale in any place, I would buy it.

Worst part about collecting things is that alot of the time things get discontinued and really hard to find.

Took me forever to find the old Schleich Malaysian Tapir...and I spent over $50 on it!
@Isidro which old Schleich Tapir are you referring to? The only old one I can think of looked good...idk what to think about the new 2022 Tapir...if it's anything like the Loris or Mandrill they have coming out I think it looks too cartoony.

I mean the one with white feet. I know no other. Their new tapir is in my opinion an improvement compared with the old one, but for the mandrill is the reverse. About loris, no other version to compare, but if someday I get a loris it will be the Eikoh one.
