Schleich is releasing some of its 2019 lineup. I have permission from Nightlioness (STS) to post them, but Schleich wants these rules posted:

Note from Nightlioness:
Rules applied in the sticky topic in this Schleich section states:
Which Schleich photos can members post at STS? This rules are valid not only for STS members, but also for all dealers, websites, blocs, forums. Schleich claims... "Equal right for all and can not make any exceptions for our forum."

- You can post Schleich photos from figures, which are in the current range. You can post Schleich photos from figures which you can buy now in shops.
(Clarification!: line 2018 and under!!)
- You can post photos which are not in the current range, but that will be available in stores now and within the next 1-2 months.
- Photos from figures that will only be available in shops within three months or later are not allowed.
- You can always publish your own photos from novelties, only when they will be available in a few months. For example if you have taken photos at an exhibition or fair. You are the owner of these photos, the copyright is yours.

Following the Schleich rules, photos of new items can be posted 1/2 months before the actual product lies in store.
I think we all can do the math and say that the first photos for January 2019 can be placed here in November 2018.
May 2019 for any other first half year releases, to be save with the months.

Thanks for understanding.

PLEASE ALSO DON'T POST ANY LINKS IN THIS TOPIC UNTIL SPIELZEUG-GUENSTIG HAS THEM UP.

On to the figures; I combined members of the same species or breed for easy in display. Sets are for those with multiple animals in the same image.

Meh, nothing really stands out to me. I do collect wolves, but at least two of those are just repaints of models previously released. :/
I do like the okapi and quokka, but I just don't have a place for them in my collection (or room on my shelves). I also like that the bears have some fish. It would be nice if more figures (especially ones with open mouths) had something to hold in there... I'm looking at you killer whales!

Quokka [probably the highlight of the year for Schliech]:

Now in my hands :D :D :D
The figurine is not still available for sale online, but already at some stores. I've saw it the other day and today I returned for it (plus other two figurines). It's exquisitely done, and perfect in scale for my collection. Very nice and my first marsupial. Just one disadvantage for those who mind: since all the adress of Schleich is occupying the whole belly of the animal, the CE and Made in China are in the right leg, very visible from outside. So the figurine is only beautiful from the left side (such as in the above photo)!

I don't collect mammals but I like this figure and a bold species choice for Schleich. If it meets your stamp of approval it must be a good figure  8) ;) C:-)

You should consider doing walkarounds of figures in your collection for the forum!!!!

It's too bad Schleich went with generic fish with the brown bear. That might have made it worthwhile.

As it is, I will once again be saving a lot of money by purchasing none of their figures.

Takama

Looks like a new figure has been announced

Looks Like there best one to date

Looks like a new figure has been announced ...

Is Schleich hinting that there will be more new releases than you can shake a stick at?

Advicot

When you posted that Takama I got hugely confused, and I still am. Is it just a bit of Photoshop?
Don't I take long uploading photos!
