Beetle guy

This one is sheduled for januari 2020. Series 2 of Frogs in pouches including 6 figurines.
The picture comes from a twitter account of a visitor at the Wonder Festival in Japan.

2 colour versions of Agalychnis callidryas (green and yellow);
2 colour versions of (I think) Litoria caerulea. that would be a new species in Japanese frog figurines;
1 Breeding couple of the Japanese treefrog Rhacophorus arboreus with foam nest;
1 One Frog with cover plate that reveals the part of the internal systems.

I hope they are not as small as the frogs in the 1st series, but they probably are. Will get these though! They look great!
To beetle or not to beetle.

Scheduled 2020 Capsule Q release, scarabaeoid beetles:

Looks like two Allomyrina dichotoma (?), Dynastes hercules, and Cheirotonus jambar; cannot tell is the all-black Dynastes is a color-morph of D. hercules or D. neptunus.

It's possible these are re-used sculpts, at least some of them, but nice to see Kaiyodo doing an insect-focused set again! Surprisingly, as commonly made as A. dichotoma is, Kaiyodo has only made it twice before!

by the way, the one on the lower left, that looks like its 'bag' which means this could be the FIRST ever bagworm moth (Psychidae) figure

A few things...

My source in Japan just sent me this link to the Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shop--a site I didn't know existed...

https://kaiyodo-ksmv.stores.jp/?category_id=5e940c530a36a715073bda2c

Apparently things sell out there very quickly so I'm going to watch it closely. I like the sold out mata mata, but certainly not for the price. The still available sirens are interesting though.

Also, though it's not a 2020 figure, I only recently learned about the ((clearly) rarely offered) Ueno Zoological Park Kaiyodo giant panda figure (only for sale in China) and my source just got me three of them--one for my own collection and two to sell. Though there are a lot of giant panda figures, I thought this one rather quintessential. It's the first figure I've gotten to add to my collection since Wild Rush 4 in November.

See it here (And please PM if interested.)...

And speaking of Wild Rush--a bit of potentially disappointing news... Since the show upon which the intended 6 sets was cancelled, we're not sure if sets 5 and 6 are going to be produced.

Of course I'll update immediately with any news.

to be released late August 2020

Isidro

Easily, the best animal figure done ever by any brand of the world. I'm amazed. It's not only with a zero distance from perfection in realism, but also articulated at EVERY articulation that a real Japanese hornet would have, Antennae, mandibles, legs, even the difficult to build abdomen, the sting, and the most admirable of all: the plishable wings!!!!!

What species do these caterpillars represent? I have not been able to find any sources online with agreeing information.

@Avian - I review that set (and several others) in this thread here: https://animaltoyforum.com/index.php?topic=1229.msg26272#msg26272
