Is there any way that we can get this implemented for posts that are responding to a thread? Because as far as I'm aware the only way to upload an image to a response post is to use while using a .jpg link.

It should work for all posts including replies. Make sure your clicking "Reply", which gives you all options, rather than using the more limited "Quick Reply" at the bottom of the page.

Okay thanks I didn't know "Reply" was an option. Only ever used "Quick Reply"

I think there might be a mod I ann install to add all functionality to the Quick Reply, I'll look into that. It might be helpful to other members, too.

Ha! "flipped" was definitely the wrong word to use!

I believe this change will put the recent topics at the top on mobile devices, so people don't have to scroll through a sidebar to get to the juicy stuff.

I'm planning to remove the categories from the forum front page, as I recently did on the DinoToyForum: https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=24.msg363814#msg363814

I'll also merge the In the News board with the Animals (biology) board.

I've updated the appearance of the forum main board by removing the categories and slightly reordering and renaming the boards. I also merged the "In the news" board with the "Animals and biology" board. And, lastly, I have changed the colour of the some of the board titles.

Thanks for pointing this out. They are in the same place as before but no longer visible –  I need to update permissions so they become visible again! I'll do that now.

I've permanently removed the gender field from user profiles. It's personal data covered by GDPR so better to just get rid of it.

Something looks weird today @AnimalToyForum - there is a second, smaller, pane for 'Recent Forum Topics' but clicking on them doesn't take you to the most recent post. Is something in transition now?

Yeah, I was toying with a new recent topics mod (https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=4356) that might make the forum look a bit different. It could replace the more basic recent topics pane. There are buttons you can click at top right to change the layout. I decided I'm not going to keep it after testing it out. A bit too complicated for our needs.

Could the animal icon that was used for the "In the news" board replace one of the two identical stag beetle icons currently in use for other boards?

Yes. I thought I did that already but must've only done it for the DTF and forgot to do it here as well.

Ah, I had made a change here. The "Animals and biology" board icon was a rhino, which I moved to replace a beetle icon on the "reviewer's" board. But since most members can't see that anyway, I've also now made the "Members board" icon a rhino too.

I've made a small addition to the menu bar - a 'New topic' button. It might make it a little bit easier to start new topics. The button only works for logged-in members, of course.
