Hello everybody,

Let me introduce myself, Stéphane, almost 47 years old, originally from France.
I work as a nature guide on behalf of several whale-watching agencies.

Needless to say, I love whales. I've always had a passion for wildlife.
When I was a kid, I loved playing with animal replicas. The PVC figurines from Schleich were unfortunately not very realistic in the 80s. But they were enough to make me happy.

As an adult, I started collecting cetaceans from Papo, Collecta and Schleich.
And last month, I got into it again when I came across the woodland caribou and muskox figurines from Collecta in a bookstore in Norway. It was love at first sight.

I decided to continue to focus on cetaceans, but also to start collecting even-toe ungulates (artiodactyla), I recently purchased tons of them, with a predilection for deer, buffalos, antelopes, goats, mouflons, camelids and giraffes. I must have over 50 figures now.
Perhaps I will also add wild equids to my collection in the future (zebras, wild ass, przewalski's horse. .)

In my opinion , Collecta has no equal for ungulates, while Papo has my preference for cetaceans and large sharks (whale shark, basking shark).

Looking forward to chat with you.

I love my job. I even wrote a book about my experience with the gray whales in Mexico, that will be published before Christmas.
