First post updates with individual, higher-quality pics

So many lovely birds this year! Just wow!

SerAndrew

After seeing this photos I'll stick to my previous choices. The iguana "maybe" may turn into a definitive "No", but still have to see it in real. Despite tail is definitely too short.

And I doubt the caiman paintjob will be as good as in pics, I suspect it may happen like with the leopard shark.

sbell

Where have I been? What is wrong with the marmoset? It's so stretched out or something.

Most of those are... not necessary... for me.

Still curious what the Suchomimus will actually look like, since so far we only seem to have a drawing.

Fembrogon

Another company releasing a mako shark, haha! It's always funny to see the timing of different companies.

The clouded leopard looks really nice; I wouldn't mind getting one and I don't have Safari's. I like the caiman and eagle owl too.

I am seriously thinking of adding the Suchomimus, too. I normally don't like Papo's dinosaurs, but that one has an appealing aesthetics to it.

Is there a photo of the model yet? The picture still looks like a 2d concept drawing

With thanks to Ikessauro on the Dinosaur Toy Forum for posting this:

QuoteIt has been a while since I've been this excited for a Papo dinosaur. Photos of the Suchomimus in the Nuremberg toy fair, posted by jurassic.german on Instagram.

Some of the other new Papo figures can be seen in the photos, including the caiman which I'm happy to see but I wonder why its eye colour has been changed to blue?

SerAndrew

they have also closed the mouth of the caiman

Sim

I think the caiman has an articulated jaw.  In the photo of it in the first post I think I see a mechanism for the articulated jaw at the back of its head.

bmathison1972

WOW I really like that Suchomimus!!

And yes, I am sure the caiman as an articulated jaw (I thought it did initially). But honestly, even if it isn't articulated, I don't care if it's open or closed and would probably prefer the latter.

Isidro

Wow!!!!!!!!! Papo rivals now PNSO quality with dinos!

EpicRaptorMan

Wonder when these will be available?

SerAndrew

No news from Papo from what I can see...
And we are already in may. We normally have the first batch already by this time of the year, right?

this was discussed on the STS forum. I think Papo is doing three waves this year, with the first in June.

Am I remembering that correctly, @Saarlooswolfhound ?

EDIT:

I just went to STS forum. Supposedly, these are coming out in May:
Iguana
Guinea fowl
White peacock
Musk ox
Valais lamb
Eagle owl
Horse and riders

...with some others slated for June

EpicRaptorMan

So...May, June, and what else for the third wave?

I may be wrong on three waves. Anyway, regardless you are just going to have to wait.

bmathison1972

Looks like things are finally trickling out. The white peacock and musk ox have shown up on eBay via European dealers.

bmathison1972

and now the snowy owl is available on eBay via European dealers..

looks like they are slowly coming...

EpicRaptorMan

The guinea fowl should be available today too
