World Record Polar Bear

I've been reading recently about polar bears.  One incredible fact I discovered is that the record sized polar bear was a whopping 2200 pounds and stood 11 feet 1 inch tall.......about 15% bigger than a normal large male.  Wow.  Unfortunately it was discovered because a hunter shot and killed it in Alaska in 1960.  The body was put on display.  At that size it would have stood about 6 feet at the shoulder!
