Stingray species identification?

I've had this figure for years now. Ever since I could remember. Don't know the species or brand, but it fits nicely with my other rays.

Any guess on species? I am beginning to think it's no species-specific.

This is clearly Raja miraletus, a true ray rather than a stingray

I was thinking along those lines as well. The sculpt reminded me of the Raja montagui figure I have. However, it was marketed as a 'stingray'

Marketing it as "stingray" would prove to be more effective as it'll show up more on online marketplaces. Partially why I chose to name this thread "stingray" xD

There's no barb on the tail, but that could also have been due to lack of detail. Definitely thinking it's R. miraletus
