Need snow leopard advice/recommendations

So, I'm looking to see which snow leopard I might want to get in the future. The Papo was originally going to be my choice, however, I found out today that Papo snow leopards being produced now are extremely lackluster in their paint application since they moved figure production to Portugal. It's highly unlikely that I would get an older model from online retailers. This is a real bummer to me, so I was looking at the Schleich or Collecta ones - none of which seemed as awesome as the original Papo ones. Or if I should wait it out for another release.

Really sucks that I started collecting this year instead of a few years ago, but whatever.

The problem is, that every snow leopard model available in the market have as bad or worst painjob than the Papo one. I've already discussed this problem in another forum:

If you have some skills for painting, then take some brushes and acrylic paints, both are relatively cheap. The result can be as magnific as the mythical Costicuba's avatar if you have enough patience. You can try on any model, but judging the sculpt only, I think Papo is the best one.
