Hi all!
Am I the only one who had to have a quick biology crash course for the genus of a few of those animals when registering? Lol ::)
Anyway, I just recently stumbled on this forum while I was searching some old Schleich animal figures that I had in storage. I had collected when I was young and seeing my animals again has re sparked my interest. I have around twenty figures right now (I am trying to figure out where the rest of mine are!). These range from safari animals, knights, and horses. I chose my username, Friesian, as I have always loved that type of horse and that I am not very creative with usernames!  ;D
I am hoping to learn more about the animals, possibly restore some of my figures that really could use some TLC, and see what everyone else has to post! I don't know if there is a specific place here for questions on safe TLC work but I will look.
Phew, well enough about me. Now I have some questions! Drumroll.....So, what is your favorite animal and why?   Thank you all for having me on this forum!  :)

Hehe, welcome! Sorry about the registration questions, it is the only tried and tested way to keep bots and spammers out. I even have to change the questions every now and again because once one bot/spammer cracks the code they share the answers with all the other bots/spammers.

My favourite modern animal is a giraffe. They are just so unusual and impressive creatures!

You're fine, I am glad that you have a good way that works to keep this forum bot and spammer free! Thank you and everyone else for all the work that must be put in to keep this forum running!  :)
Those animals both sound very interesting! Thank you guys for the warm welcome!

Welcome here! Haha, yes, I remember the array of genus that one must type for registering here. I knew all from memory but search them in a new window is quite easy too. Furthermore, this is a very good way to implement the level of participants in this forum: those with not enough interest in zoology as for know or search these genus, are excluded so we can keep a good quality forum :)

I hope you find the remaining figures and start to enlarge your collection too.

I have approximately 923879 different species of animals that are absolutely rivalled in favouriteness for me, hahaha. And probably few on this forum know most of them :P

Thank you! I personally love Medieval history so I am hoping to find my knights soon.   :-\ That is a very large collection! I would love to see pictures if you have posted any somewhere on here.

Also, do share pictures of your own Schleich collection, I'm sure we can help you ID them.

That would be so helpful! I will make a post in the general discussion.
