Spiders in spring

I am suddenly encountering lots of large adult spiders (Eratigena, I think) in our house. It strikes me as odd because spider season is in the autumn - it is barely spring now. Is anyone else in Europe experiencing this? Is there something about their life cycle that explains it?

I haven't been experiencing large spiders but lots of large bumblebees that sound like hovercrafts, as they are that loud  :D
Don't I take long uploading photos!

Yes, me too, and quite a lot of bee-fles in our garden as well, which look like bees at first glance.
