Those will probably be nice, but won't be as tempting as their existing ancient fishes. Hopefully, they'll do a couple more of them too!

I may be a little off on some of these IDs, but my best guesses are:

Micropterus dolomieu (smallmouth bass) -- the post just says 'black bass,' a generic term for Micropterus sunfishes
Plecoglossus altivelis (ayu)
Lateolabrax japonicus (Japanese sea bass)
Paralichthys olivaceus (olive flounder)
Acanthopagrus schlegelii (blackhead seabream)
Pagrus major (red seabream)
Trachurus japonicus? -- Favorite's copy translates to 'brown mackerel,' but honestly the profile looks more like a jack to me
Thunnus thynnus (bluefin tuna_
Istiophorus platypterus (Indo-Pacific sailfish)
I'm no good at squid, can a mollusc expert weigh in?
Enteroctopus dofleini (giant Pacific octopus)

Ooo, I will need to check my database to see which species I need, but I know I still need a good smallmouth bass. The Indo-Pacific sailfish might be good too (assuming the 2020 Papo figure is an Atlantic sailfish). A couple others might be new too, esp. Acanthopagrus and Lateolabrax! I also need a giant Pacific octopus; we'll have to see the size on this figure first

I've been meaning to ask:
How good/accurate is Favorite Co.'s Bluefin Tuna?
Are there any better options out there? (besides model kits)
Which Bluefin Tuna does this model represent?

They're nice enough, and Favorite usually does a very good job, although the species are just kind of okay as far as I'm concerned.

As for tuna, I would recommend the Saltwater Fishes box from Colorata.https://www.colorata.com/fs/colorata/figurebox_nl4/ if you can find it easily.

There is a really nice Bluefin and Skipjack in there, along with several others.

Not sure. Colorata is a definite master of fish figures.

@Gwangi - this is the Favorite set that came out last year. They are larger than typical Kaiyodo but smaller than 'standard' sized figures. I think all of Halichoeres' IDs are correct except one (unless he edited it; I can't remember which)
