Well, I bought a really damaged figurine.
The polyresin Forest tree frog from the Kaiyodo aquatales series. It had some paint damage and a missing finger.
It is really beautiful though, one of my favorites allready! So I ordered a new one straight away for wanting an original in my collection :)).
The only thing a bit weird is the pupil shape that is kind of to round.

The sculpt is by the artist Matsumura Shinobu. It is truly an excellent sculpt! I humbly added the missing finger with Milliput. Then sanded the figurine really carefull with superfine steelwool to remove the varnish and not destroy detail. Then I added a light spray of creme. And ready for painting it is!

The sanded figurine and it's base.

The underside with roughly added finger.

With newly sculpted and refined finger.

With very light spray of cream. Ready for repaint.

If the Nature Technicolour one (right) represents a male, the Kaiyodo represents a bigger female ;-)

Also the two translucent Safari salamanders, Yonahlossee Salamander and mudpuppy are ready to go! I will not likely do a repaint on these after this. The material is really annoying for priming and/or painting.
To beetle or not to beetle.

So here is my repaint on the Aquatales Forest tree frog (Rhacophorus arboreus).

I might do some little alterations later but this is the general idea  :D.
