I've been finding deep-sea fish quite interesting lately.  The Safari toob hatchetfish has had me wondering how accurate it is.  It's said to be very inaccurate in the ATB review of its toob, but I went on Google images to see if I could find something that resembled it... and I did...: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/503840277032351447/

I guess the sculptor of that figure found that photo and based the figure off of it, which would explain the fin on its head(!), the huge teeth, the overall form...  The hatchetfish in the photo isn't a real specimen, right?  And the toob hatchetfish isn't very accurate, is it?

Definitely looks fake. And no, they do not have teeth like that.

This is one of the few bottlecap figures I have. But the second a more standard sized variant appears I'll be getting that one instead

Putting this here since one of these is an anglerfish, but behold: two of my tiniest figures...

While I can't say for certain what brand they are I suspect it's Joy City, as they feel very distinctly similar to the unique material of the Joy City pygmy hog, and if I understand they have a number of tube sets of figures.  Mostly I'm impressed these puny and very fragile feeling rubbery models about the size of raisins managed to actually survive a bit of disaster.  If they've been posted anywhere before or discussed I've never seen it yet.

Not sure what brand these guys are but probably Japanese.  I think they were supposed to light up from inside when squeezed at one point but I don't think they do anymore.
