Tiger, pair (Noah’s Pals by Caboodle! Toys LLC)

Tyger, Tyger, burning bright,

In the forest of the night,

What immortal hand or eye

Can frame thy fearful symmetry?” The Tyger, William Blake, 1794

This poem, used in the Songs of Experience by William Blake, was a counterpoint of the Songs of Innocence poem, The Lamb, and you can see why. The tiger (Panthera tigris) is a powerful, stealthy hunter of the forests of Asia. Sadly, these magnificent cats are in decline, due to deforestation and hunting by humans. That is why, in their line, Noah’s Pals put this animal in the endangered section, meaning there are only 10,000 sets of them made, making them hard to find. Are they worth the search? let’s take a look…

First up is Timmy, the male tiger, sitting down here with his left paw in a slightly odd angle. Perhaps not impossible, but is bizarre. He measures 3″ high and 2.5″, a decent size at it’s 1:24 scale. The fur is very well sculpted, as are the paws underneath, but the eyes are a tad off, otherwise very good.

Next up is Taylor, the female, which seems to be far more active, either playing or trying to stealthily approach it’s prey. She measures 4.1″ long and 2.1″ high, nicely sized. Again, it’s well sculpted, although the eyes are a bit off on mine, though this may vary from model to model.

This is quite a nice set, defects aside. There are some better tiger models out there, even being able to identify the subspecies, but these give you both sexes and are quite charming. Owing to the limited nature of these models, finding them is very hard. It pops up on eBay occasionally, and I do consider them worth picking up. You be the judge, but I am happy to have them.
