Thoroughbred, pair (Noah’s Pals by Caboodle! Toys LLC)

One of the large mammals that survived the Ice Age is the horse (Equus ferus). As a result of domestication by humans and travelling to Asia, it survived the extinctions in North America, and are now widespread across the globe, helping humans travel across tough terrain and long distances. There are now several breeds, including the thoroughbred, a racing specialist. Naturally, it was a choice pick for the Noah’s Pals line, along with many of it’s domestic breeds. Let’s see how they did…..

We start with Hayden, a dark brown stallion. This measures 4.7″ long and 3.8″ high, making it a mid to large figure in this line. The result is a much more detailed figure than the rest of the figures that have been reviewed so far. The pose is quite neutral, a raised left back foot is what you get. Bit dull, but it is at least it is a bit different from other lines. The muscle details and eyes are exquisite, really looking good.

Next to Heather, the mare of the set, a chestnut colour with a characteristic white stripe on it’s head. She measures 4.3″ long and 3.3″ high, allowing the details to once again come through brilliantly. Her pose is a little more dynamic, but not much more that Hayden, being ducked more and the right hand back foot raised. Quite nice.

This is quite a nice set, well detailed and sculpted, with a good mix of colours to show how different they can be. I wish the pose was a little more dynamic, but it works quite well. I will say the legs can warp a little if kept in a tight place too long, but this is still one to recommend. eBay is your best bet, as the line is discontinued, but I do think this is worth considering.
