Black rhino (Papo - Wild Life).
« on: February 17, 2014, 12:21:06 AM »
Hello friends, this is the figure of Black rhino (Diceros bicornis) Linnaeus, 1758 of Papo-Wild Life. Total lenght is 140 mm. This figure was relased in 2008 and it is avaliable nowadays. The natural range of the black rhino included most of southern and eastern Africa, but it did not occur in the Congo Basin, the tropical rainforest areas along the Bight of Benin, the Ethiopian Highlands, and the Horn of Africa. The longest known black rhinoceros horn measured nearly 4.9 ft in length. Sometimes, a third, smaller horn may develop. These horns are used for defense, intimidation, and digging up roots and breaking branches during feeding

Papo is a young brand in the world of figures if we compare them with Safari or Schleich, but they have a important place in the world currently. They are famous for their figures of feline and dinosaurs but they are doing great jobs with the reptiles and birds (new garhial is amazing) and their wild animals figures are not a exception. Proportions are awesome an details of the skin is awesome. Definetly it is one of the best figure of Black rhino. I think that it will be one of my favorite figures of my collection and I bought this figure in a store of Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) yesterday

I think it still is one of the coolest Papo animal figures and the best of all their rhinos. :) If only it wasn't so glossy (at least mine is).

Yes I understand you. It is the leas glossy of the store really. It is not very glossy. It is the factor that I decided to buy it. However, it is one of the best figures of this specie  ^-^.
