American Bison figures are iconic and have always been very popular. After being hunted nearly to extinction in the 19th century, the species now has stable populations but is conservation dependent and has only a fragmentary distribution, so IUCN lists it as "Near Threatened".
This year, Schleich has released an amazing, crisply detailed, new sculpt. Like Schleich has done with a few other figures, the eyes and nostrils have a "wet look" since a more glossy paint was applied here than on the rest of the figure.
So here is the walk-around of the Schleich Wild Life American Bison, Bison bison (Linnaeus, 1758). Snout-vent length is approx. 100 mm and shoulder height 74 mm, so the scale is approx. 1:21 - 1:25. Human figure (walking man from Safari Ltd People in Motion Toob) is approx. 1:23 - 1:27 scale.
Here is a link to the figure at Schleich's homepage: http://www.schleich-s.com/en/GB/toys/wild_life_american_bison/

Thanks, Jetoar! :) I think it's really a major improvement compared to previous versions.

Good lord, it's seems ages since my last thread :))
Anyway, here we have the 3 members of the bovine tribe: The Bos, Bubalus, and Bisons. I excluded the antelopes that also belongs to the group since they are already featured in the antelope thread.
Here they are, the big bad boys and girls :))

Nice collection! You might want to check out the new Colorata Gaur. I haven't bought it but it's a pretty good-quality figure. It was released in 2018. Sometimes, it comes from a box set called ''Oriental Region''.
