Star Fish (AAA)
« on: February 10, 2013, 11:59:17 PM »
Hello friends, this is the figure of Star Fish ( Pisaster ochraceus ) Brandt, 1835 of AAA. Total lenght is 230mm.

AAA is famous for do a lot of figures of animal and they were one of the first brands to do replies of animals and they have done the figures of my childhood. The sculpt, colors, proportions, colors and stand are very nice but the best point is its skind. This figure is an amazing reply of this specie . My mother bought it to me 16 years ago in the store of Sea-Life aquarium (Benalmadena, Spain)  ^-^.

A very nice starfish cast! :) I'm not 100% certain about the identification as Pisaster ochraceus (the netlike arrangement of ossicles isn't as obvious as it is in some other specimens), but it is possible that it's been cast from that one.

Thanks friend, I think that it is this specie because I was seeing images of star fish yesterday and I thougth this it because this figure is to close to Pisaster ochraceus from my point of view  ^-^.
