At last, a Sumatran rhino! This is the last of the extant species to be represented in large toy form from on of the major brands.
It's a beautiful figure and well worth the wait. Unfortunately, the species id critically endangered with so few left in the wild and even fewer in captivity. The future is unfortunately not so promising for this rare and ancient beast.

Thanks for this walkaround, OkapiBoy. I have always loved your photography. What figure is in the penultimate image? A custom? By whom?

Beetle guy

I saw a message on Facebook today that it was extinct in Malaysia now.
To beetle or not to beetle.

Probably not the most beutifully detailed rhino figure (although it's not tha bad either) but since it's a Sumatran it's definitely a must have.

That's the Likaon model by Joan Milelire: http://www.likaonmodels.com/available-models-former.html  :)

Sumatran rhino is not the prettiest of the extant rhinos  ^-^

And yes, the second rhino is indeed by Joan Milelire, part of limited edition of beautiful figures.

Very nice! How does this compare with the other Safari Ltd. rhinos?

It's one centimeter shorter than the Safari LTD Indian rhino, so I guess is good in scale.

Nice! Exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you!

I'm so excited for the 2019 Wooly Rhino!
I'm looking forward to displaying it next to the Sumatran Rhino. They'll make a nice pair.
