Funny how the companies can't seem to stop the leaks! All this teasing on their official Facebook page and then suddenly the whole lot is revealed elsewhere. They probably need to tease and reveal them earlier in the year before they let anyone else know.

Please do! That would be worthy of a thread of its own!  8)

Hehe, sometimes I get the impression that not all of all that leaking happens without the knowledge and authorisation of the companies...  ;D

Schleich have done a great work with his new figures from my point of view, overall the reptiles  ^-^.

I've added a new pic to the first post, via Schleich on Facebook - the new "alligator and crocodile" will have articulated jaws.

WiseWolf

I like the new reptiles and hyena, and maybe the German shepherd. Very disappointed with the lion and wolves, though. These are my two favourite animals and I have many figures of them from many makers, but  doubt I'll be getting these new Schleich ones. Lion looks like it's about to cough up a hairball!

Well well well...looks like I will FINALLY be getting some Schleich.  8)

I really really like a lot of these diorama-style figures and sets. And with that, I will definitely get the 'Death Valley' and 'Butterfly' sets. The arthropods in the Death Valley set look generic but it looks like there is a millipede (although given Schleich's quality it's probably intended to be a centipede..uggh  ??? ).

I might also get things like the water hole and caves, for photographing figures and such.

For generalists, much of the wildlife looks interesting...except the growling wolf looks absolutely absurd  :P

I guess that's something only the original uploader(s) could answer. If they're okay with it then I see no problem.
So we see a partial comeback of the Mopane tree then, I mean, at least in form of twigs? The small chameleon looks nice. The red fruits look like red pitahayas. :o Wow, I wonder which zoo would be so luxurious to feed those to their animals. Are those nest eggs (the one with the ostrich chick and the baby crocodile) made to open and close? As for the desert millipede... remember Ofra Haza's 1988 video of "Im Nin'alu"? ;D The rock caves and plants generally look promising.

The only good Schleich wolf is their original. All of the others look like Huskies with problems.

Waterhole is really awesome  ^-^.

Does anyone know release dates for some of the figures? Looks like some have been released and others have not. Curious about the butterfly and Death Valley sets.
Are the color codes by the animal names indicative of when they will be released? Thanks.

stargatedalek

I don't know about the release dates, but the colour codes are for pricing.

Does anyone know if the Schleich 2015 Butterfly and/or Death Valley sets are available yet? They were to be released in July but they are not yet showing up in online shopping searches. Thanks.

I haven't been looking--but it is not like Schleich to miss a release date (unlike a few other favorite companies!).

For fellow members who are waiting to get the lovely millipede in the Death Valley Set, I asked about availability.
Schleich's Irina Stan in Charlotte, NC emailed that the set will be for sale in the USA in January 2016.

thanks. I have it, and the Butterfly Set, on (back)order from a dealer in Germany, who assures me both have been made available (at least in Germany and parts of Europe).
