There are a lot of racoons and they are causing a huge lot of destruction. What do I do get rid of them?  They occasionally dig up some of my plants in my yard  and even drag garbage into the yard. >:D So that's it. I somehow want to get rid of these little monsters out of my yard. How can I do it? I spoke with an animal control agency here in Toronto[/url] and they promised they would get rid of them. They said they would either either move them within an area of 1 km or get rid of them permanently.I don't really know what they mean by ' permanently remove' but I don't want them to get hurt. But again moving them within a area of 1 km is useless. What other options do I remove them permanently?

Unfortunately, that's about your only options--and, yes, permanently probably means what you think. Trying to remove suitable den and nesting sites might help, but there will always be lots of hiding places, and raccoons are both adaptable and clever making it hard to really make them uncomfortable.

Dammit. I wasn't sure, but was kind of hoping it was legit...

The links give it away.

They intentionally make their spam seem like real content.   :-\
