Raven (Safari LTD - Wings of the World)
« on: March 05, 2016, 05:17:41 PM »
Hello friends, this is the figure of Raven (Corvus corax) Linnaeus, 1758 of Safari LTD - Wings of the World. Total lenght is 60mm. This figure was relased in 2015 and it is available currently.  It species can be found across the Northern Hemisphere, it is the most widely distributed of all corvids. There are at least eight subspecies with little variation in appearance, although recent research has demonstrated significant genetic differences among populations from various regions. It is one of the two largest corvids, alongside the thick-billed raven, and is possibly the heaviest passerine bird.

Safari LTD - Wings of the World have beutiful and amazing figures, but I think that this figure is one of the cutest figures of this collection. From my point of view, this figure is a accurate replica of this bird, because the details as great feathers, stand, proportions are perfects. Colours are very nice. It was a Saint Valentine´s present from my girlfriend ^-^.

A nice figure but I'd hoped there would be some variation in the black/dark grey somewhere on the body. From publicity shots and these pics it looks of one solid color.

Yes it is. The color of the rubber is black and only the stone has been painted  ^-^.

It's still one of my favourite Safari Ltd birds and I can forgive the uniformly black colour (well, at least that's accurate). :) What I find a bit more problematic is that the legs are a bit prone to warping.
