I recently got the large AAA big headed turtle, and together with the small one I already owned I'd like to try repainting them some more accurate colours, but the more research I do it seems the more species/colour variations I find of big headed turtles

I'd love it if someone knew which species/variation each was molded from, or if thats not possible which species they most closely resemble

or just give your opinions on which palettes of big headed turtle you like/recommend

I have a few "Chinastore" big headed turtles I plan to practice on to see if I like the pattern once applied (they are very small tho, about quarter sized)

Platysternon megacephalum is monotypical, with subtle differences at the subspecies level.
I do not know which variety was used by AAA to create the molds.

I think I'll use these for the juvenile (and after I see how that goes I may use the Kaiyodo as a reference for the adult)
