At the moment i also dont found anything. But i read you search for the Happy Kin Orca. I have one from the deep sea sets that i can give away. For the monkey i have to search, i think i have it but in the first moment i dont find that figur.

Cool! How much?

i have some happy kin whales including the orca, and i could also sell both small and big pv boto

Woah! How much are you gonna sell them for? Could they be posted on eBay too? :D

Hello Wolflover! I notice you are after the Vaquita and are interested in other whales etc? There is a whale in the US series 2 American Collection also, and I have plenty spare. And there are dolphins and whales and other sea creatures in the original Australian Yowies which I have lots of. Where do you live? I am in Australia but have done overseas trades many times and it is very easy. No need for a PO box if you don't want one, and payment is simple with Paypal.  I am interested in the new US Rescue Collection in return, also a couple of the harder to get US American Collection, the Palila, Eagle and of course Eric. If you are interested please feel free to either email me or message  me.

Iím in tenneseee and I normally buy through eBay! I donít have any of the other yowies figures as they donít sell them here! D:

Dang it!
What whales are left?

So today I received my bullyland orca in the mail. He is one of the last mainstream (Amazon-acquirable) orcas on my list. Now I only have the Papo and Phil Seltzer orca to go!

The orca came with the tag wrapped neatly around his pectorals and behind them as well. The tag contains some info about orcas, nothing too detailed but would definitely be good for a child looking to learn about them.

Hereís the little info packet. It is printed in German on the left and English on the right.

Hereís a comparison of the stock photo versus the actual figure itself. As you can see, there are some differences between the photo and the result- but just like with anything, that should be expected.

Hereís the length in inches facing both ways. It is around 6 inches.

Here is a closeup of his saddle patch. If you know me online or irl, you probably know that I am a big fan of extended saddle patches, which made me happy to see an orca figure with such a unique saddle!

Here are his eyepatches and head. The eyepatches are asymmetrical, as to be expected in most figures and in real life. But I feel as though his are far too asymmetrical, as none of them look remotely like the other. However, it can be excusable as orcas with severely asymmetrical eyepatches have been recorded.
His teeth are sharp and pointy and individually sculpted, painted a light bone color. His tongue is bright pink, really too bright to be realistic. However, it is 3d, which is preferred. Itís mouth roof is base black and has no detail- a little disappointing.

His ventral stripe is relatively accurate! The only problems I have are with the Ďbeamsí (I donít know the actual name of them, but theyíre the markings that branch out to the side) and the lack of the spot. The beams are squished and small, when in reality they are large and branch out to the sides. His are visible from the sides, but they are small and squished.

However, my biggest qualms are about the material.

When submerged in water, the material forms these grey spots, almost like bubbles underneath the initial coating. They do disappear after a while, but it does temporarily give them the appearance of shedding their skin.

Another qualm is about the fin. Like the Schleich orca, when the dorsal is bent, it forms wrinkles. But unlike the Schleich, the crinkles are small and numerous and very rough; also unlike the Schleich, its dorsal crinkled from only slightly being pushed- the Schleichís becomes crinkly after a full bend.
I am hoping it wears off soon as it is rather off-putting and bothersome.

General Review:

The Bullyland orca is an adorable figure but like the Schleich figure, has an overly massive head and a disproportionate dorsal fin. Itís flukes are also too large and too broad, a problem that is common in orca figures. The pectorals are large but like with nearly all orca figures, lack the details they should.
However, it does have upsides. I do really like the eyepatches- they are unique, yet simple. The pose is also great and portrays action- it almost looks like itís changing direction to catch fish or the sort! The saddle patch is also beautiful and a very unique pattern I have not seen in a figure before. The ventral markings are accurate and are only lacking the spot. It is also a very buoyant toy! It can fly through the water Betty fast if you aim right enough.

Overall, Iíll rate him a 7/10! He is a very cute figure and will definitely be added to my collection! :D

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, please correct me if it is!

But recently, I've been browsing toyanimal.info for animal figures and I've come across some species of dolphins I've never seen before in figure form made by Play Visions. Like the Commerson's dolphin, finless porpoise, boto, and the like. I've also spotted another company, K&M, which made some spotted dolphin figures. I'm also searching for the vaquita figure from Yowies. I have also seen that Lontic/Nayab has made a figure of my favorite animal ever, the strap-toothed beaked whale; the figure is the only one of its kind in existence. I also spotted an orca by Happy Kin Toys, but it seems they don't sell to individuals- just companies only. :(
If y'all have any info on these beauties, please let me know!

Thanks!

What informations you need? I think i have the most of them but nothing for sale. Look on Taobao, there you can have a little more luck as on Ebay.

I'm looking for their cetacean figures and K&M's white headed capuchin monkey figure. I can't find (or understand) anything on Taobao :(

Thats very strange but with luck and any key words you can find something. So for whales look for deep sea. It could be that i have a second white headed capuchin, i will look. Do you have something for trade?

I actually have a lot of figures I would like to trade but I don't have a PO box and I dont know how to ship! D: And I did look up "deep sea" on there and I haven't gotten any results!

Idk if you still have these figures as this topic is wayyy old... but I absolutely LOVE those orcas! I myself am an avid cetacean collector and take interest in your dolphin and whale figures! Might I ask where you got them? I would love to trade but unfortuneately I don't have any figures of worth lol!

General / Where to get Happy Kin toys?
« on: August 25, 2017, 09:59:40 PM »
Hello everyone!
I recently came across a manufacturer that made a beautiful orca toy called Happy Kin. They have a site up, however it is very uninformative and seems they only ship to companies and not individual collectors :(
Is there a way for an individual to get the toys?
Here's the link to the set in question:

Thank you!

Found this on pinterest. I recognize the Mega Sofubi Advance Blue whale, but who makes the other two? That's the best looking sperm whale I've seen and the whale shark looks fantastic too. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

The comments say Kaiyodo (a fantastic /but very expensive/ Japanese model maker) so I'm guessing that's it!

I looked it up and I believe you are right! I think he may be a Chinese mold ripoff tho!

Hey!

I need some help identifying the brands of these figures.

I got this lion as a kid at the doctor's office. It says Jaru on the bottom; I think that may actually be the brand name but looking online for it comes up blank.
It is one of the most detailed chinanimals that I have, and I believe it may actually be the original model that inspired that cliche chinamal lion pose.
It's tounge and canines are sculpted into it, as well as the hairs on the mane, elbow, and tail. It's nose is very well sculpted, and it's body even has the indents showing its ribs (but not in a way that makes it look starving)!

This is a colt that actually came with a set which had a larger Clydesdale in it.
Whoever made this figure must've been really lazy because the only place with fur detail is on the face, and it only covers half of it!
The mother horse didn't have a brand name (to my memory) but did have "Clydesdale" in big lettering on the bottom.
The mother horse is very similar in color to the colt, having a medium grey pelt, a grey-brown mane and tail, and white hooves.
I got this at a place in Saint Louis called Grant's Farm if that helps any! :)

I have had this figure for a long time and I believe it came from an Imaginex set but I'm not sure if it did or not. I have two of them, but the other is horribly painted white with whiteout because little me wanted to make it into an undead steed from World of Warcraft. Needless to say it did not work out right. XD

This sheep looks like it may be a happy meal toy but it doesn't have the logo.
The whole toy is devoid of any logos, copyrights, or "made in x" on it.
There is a lot of detail in the curls, but not much else after that.
The head can turn and the legs can be moved but not much.

These two figures are favorites of mine.
The cheetah seems to be more popular as I've seen people with it, but it has no logo or anything other than a microscopic "CE" under its armpit.
The tiger only has "CHINA" in big bold letters on it but that's it.
I named the cheetah Lizzia after my WoW druid character :)

I got this lion cub as a prize in third grade and I've had it ever since!
It is really poorly made and is a classic chinanimal. The lion cub shares the same model as a black cat (panther?) that was also in the prize bucket.
I don't know who made it, but I do know that the same person who made it also made a panda with yellow eyes and blue claws.
He is going to be repainted soon!

Last one!
I got these ponies from the prize bucket too. They're very tiny (all three can lay in my hand and there's still room) and adorable.
The only hint to a brand is the K with a dot over it. The only labels they have are their breed names (appoloosa, freishan, arabian).
I would like to know the brand because these are my favorite ones of all!!!

Hello. Well, i don't read too often here, but with a little help from widukind, the watchdog, i received the info someone answered here,..;-p
Well,..to be honest: Some of them can be found in other arctic sets on ebay from time to time, but not the more unusual species. And as you know, customs and loss while shipping, can fill the bucket already containing fees and price in general,...
So requests like "5 euros ioncl. shipping to the u.s." are a little weird;-p Just pm me, we can arrange something.

Sorry I think I misread what you were saying in my last post!
Could you send a message containing the links to the sets online? Because I can't find a single website (or anything really) that even remotely mentions Happy Kin, let alone sells it.

I have found their website, but you cannot buy from the website.

Thanks!
Borris (wolflover224)

Cool! Is there a way you can upload them on eBay and covert euros to USD?
Sorry if I'm asking much!

I dont think that i know that one that you search and with your description i also think he is here listed

http://toyanimal.info//index.php?title=Blue-ringed_Octopus
None of those are it!
He one I'm talking about had very little "fixed position" to it as it was made out of soft rubber (like those stretchy animals in the toy isle at Kroger) and was very floppy and stretchy!

Don't mean to necro this thread, but it really caught my attention!
Is there any place I could find these figures? I found their website, but you cannot access the figures that are there. Is there any site like Amazon they can be found on? I prefer Amazon but eBay will work as well!
Sorry if I'm bothering anyone by necroing!

EDIT:
Just saw that you were selling these! I would like the orca, one beluga, DEFINITELY the right whale dolphin, the risso's dolphin, and/or the hourglass dolphin please!
Are you selling them on eBay or are you doing a mail-the-money-get-the-figure thing? Because if you are, I can't mail over 15 dollars due to safety reasons.

Animal toys (general) / Rubber blue ringed octopus?
« on: March 22, 2017, 08:51:08 PM »
Hey there!
Newbie here!
I'm having trouble finding this BRO (blue ringed octopus) rubber toy. Think the ones you find in the toy isle at Kroger or at dollar stores. I remember finding it in my childhood, but whenever I search online for it I can't seem to find it.
It is very stretchy, and made of rubber. It is roughly the size of a real one, maybe the size of two hands together. I saw it at a CVS or a Walgreens, but idk if that helps any.
Help please?

Thank you,
Borris
