Sea Horse (AAA)
« on: July 20, 2013, 07:43:25 PM »
Hello friends, this is the figure of Sea Horse (Hippocampus sp) Rafinesque, 1810 of . Total lenght is 135mm.

AAA is famous for doing a lot of figures of animals and they were one of the first brands to do replicas of animals and they have done the figures of my childhood. The sculpt, colors, proportions, colors and stand are very accurate. This figure is an amazing replica of this specie . I bought this figure the last week in the store of Sea-Life aquarium (Benalmadena, Spain) the same day that Octopus and Clown Fish   ^-^.

This one seems very common, I see it for sale on eBay all the time. I wonder if it was cast from a dried specimen?

They came flying from far away, now I'm under their spell....

Nice figure!  :) And, yes, a cast seems likely. But I guess the fins are sculpted, the original ones would probably too delicate for casting.

Nice pictures!! :D
I think this figure looks a lot like the seahorses I saw at the aquarium.
I like Puppy in my Pockets and Littlest Pet Shop.
